Through dozens of engagements, Smart, Inc. has been engaged by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to:
Conduct on-site reviews of PHA’s SEMAP performance under the Housing Choice Voucher Program to determine the degree of the PHA’s compliance with applicable HUD regulations and prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for program improvement.
Assess a PHA’s preparation and submission of the 50058 family information reports and information to determine whether the PHA was properly collecting, recording and providing correct tenant program information to HUD.
Review PHAs quality control sampling methodology used in the preparation of SEMAP certification.
Prepare written reports that summarize the results of on-site reviews, the nature of and the root cause of identified deficiencies, as well as, the magnitude and seriousness of program deficiencies identified in the PHA's scoring report.
Provide technical assistance to PHAs and assist PHAs to develop viable Correction Action Plans pursuant to 24 CFR, Part 985.107.
Assist PHAs in developing tracking and monitoring systems for incorporation into Correction Action Plans, allowing PHAs and HUD to track and monitor the progress of all Corrective Action Plan activities and improvements relative to the SEMAP indicators.
